Filter Bag Cages:
Cage constructions, consist of 8,10, 12 or 20 vertical wires. The
horizontal ring spacing on the cage can be 4", 6" or 8". If height
restrictions are a problem, two piece cages are available
We offer our clients an extensive range of spiral cages that are widely used in various scientific and industrial units for versatile applications. Offered at competitive prices, these spiral cages can also be customized according to the specific demands of our individual clients.
All bags are 5-7/8" outside diameter. If measured flat, they are 9-1/4" across. These bags are variously referred to in the industry as 5-1/2", 5-3/4", or 6" diameter. They are made to slip easily over a bag cage which will measure 5-3/4" diameter if it has 20 vertical wires. They will go easier yet over a cage with only 10 or 12 vertical wires. All bags have a closed disk bottom. The cages they fit are usually Phoneed 5-1/2" cages.
The over-all length of the bags are 2" longer than the nominal size shown if they are bottom load plain top style. This is so that they can be folded over the top of a split collar bottom load cage.
If they are top load style with a snap band cuff, they are 1/2" longer than the nominal size shown. The top load snap band style is made to fit a 6-1/4" tube sheet hole.
